Scorecards when India loses and Sachin scores a century!

India loses when Sachin Scores a century? Well, losing 24 matches (when Sachin scores a century) is quite a lot, but then, you are talking about a man who has scored 100 International centuries.

He has fought lone battles at times and sometimes battled pain to get to this ultimate glory. Find it extremely foolish when people speak in negative, about his centuries in losing causes. Below are a few scorecards that reflect the team's contribution when Sachin scored a century. There have been times when even a triple hundred by Sachin would not have saved us the match and then there have been times where he has ran out of partners to even think of scoring a triple hundred.

Tests
1. India Vs Autralia: Tendulkar only Indian to score more than 50 (both innings included). Scores 114 and India loses by 300 runs.

The other 9 players scored 34 runs put together. When Sachin was the 7th wicket to fall, India required only 17 runs to win.

One Day:
1. India vs Sri Lanka: Epic match. Scores run a ball 137 before he gets run out. Manoj Prabhakar scores 7 off 36 balls and gives off 47 runs in the 4 overs he bowls. Sri Lanka win with 8 balls to spare.

2. India vs Australia: 22nd April 1998, Sharjah. Historical day for Indian Cricket. Scores 143 to take India to the finals of the Coca Cola Cup. Heads back to the pavilion thanks to a wrong umpiring decision. Any guesses on who the umpire was?
Comes back, two days later to score another scintillating hundred and this time win is ours.

3. India vs SriLanka: Another individual battle fought. Scores 101 with no support from other batsmen. Next highest score is 35 (61 balls). Sri Lanka win by 5 wickets and 37 deliveries to spare.

7. India Vs Australia, Hyderabad: 175, rings a bell? Chasing 350 runs in 50 overs, Sachin takes India to the brink of victory. Scores 175 off 14 1 overs as India fall only 3 runs short in what would have otherwise been an epic chase in ODI history. Nevertheless one of the best ODI innings ever.
When Sachin was out, India needed only 19 runs off 17 deliveries (with 3 wickets remaining).

8. India vs South Africa, World Cup’11: Scored 111 off 101 deliveries. When Sachin was out, India were 267 for 2 off 39.4 overs. We managed to add only 29 more runs off the next 54 balls, losing 8 wickets in the process. SA won by 3 wickets, with 2 balls remaining.
